Mountain View Seventh-Day Adventist Church

An Adventist Community of Faith with a Family Focus

Pathfinder Club

The Pathfinder Club is organized by the Youth Department of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is a worldwide program dedicated to supporting, teaching, and training young people 10 to 15 years of age.

Individual Pathfinder clubs are sponsored by a local Seventh-day Adventist Church or school and meet on a regular basis - often weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Activities include community service, camping, crafts, classwork, drilling, Bible study, Seventh-day Adventist Church history, and teen leadership training.

Annually, each local conference will hold a large event known as a Camporee where Pathfinders come together to participate in events, activities, competitions, and religious meetings. Additionally, every five years an International Pathfinder Camporee is held in Oshkosh, WI where Pathfinder clubs from across the globe gather together.

The Pathfinders, by learning and following the Pathfinder Law and Pledge, have learned to minister through their actions. Our goal for the Mountain View Pathfinders is to nurture and bring out the ministry that is found within each individual Pathfinder, preparing them to be a soldier for Jesus Christ and share "The Advent message to all the world in this generation", which is the aim of a Pathfinder.
